What is MusicVidle?

MusicVidle is a daily visual guessing game built around official music videos instead of audio or lyrics. Each puzzle starts with one still image pulled from a video, and you try to identify the song by typing into a search box and picking from its suggestions. A wrong guess (or a skip, if you are stuck) reveals the next still in sequence, up to six total, so the puzzle gradually feeds you more visual evidence: framing choices, locations, wardrobe, lighting, and any recurring motifs the video is built around. 4. If your guess is wrong, a new still frame unlocks, giving you more visual context to work with.
5. Keep guessing until you identify the song or use all six of your allowed guesses.
6. Check your stats panel afterward and share your result if you want to compare with others.

Tips and strategy

• Study the first frame closely before guessing. Background details, color grading, and framing often narrow things down before you have a name in mind.
• Pay attention to wardrobe and hairstyles. They frequently peg a video (and therefore a song) to a specific era or artist.
• Zoom into each still with your mouse or finger to catch small details like text, logos, or props that might otherwise go unnoticed.
• Click the numbers of earlier revealed frames to look at them again instead of relying on memory. Comparing multiple stills can surface a pattern you missed.
• Think in terms of visual style, not just genre. A director's recognizable look (lighting, set design, choreography staging) can be a bigger clue than the type of music itself.
• If you're unsure of the full title, try typing what you remember into the search box. The suggestions can surface the right match even from a partial guess.
