Lyrdle hands you three lines from a real song with key words blanked out, and you have to fill them back in. It resets once a day, so everyone is working on the same lyrics, and a running archive lets you go back and try puzzles you missed.
What is Lyrdle?
Lyrdle is a daily lyric puzzle. Each day the site loads three lines from a song with certain words removed, and you type what you think belongs in each blank, then press Submit Guess to check your answer. The interface shows an Attempts counter, though it reads "???" before you start playing, so the site does not advertise a fixed guess limit up front. A countdown on the homepage ("Next puzzle in:") shows exactly when the next day's puzzle unlocks.
What sets Lyrdle apart from most song-based -dle games is what you are actually guessing. Games like Lyricle ask you to identify the song title from a lyric snippet. Lyrdle already shows you the lines; your job is to reconstruct the specific missing words inside them, which is a closer-reading task than a title-guessing one. There is also a separate site at lyrdle.com with the same name and the same general concept (guess the missing words from popular song lyrics), but it is a distinct deployment. Beyond the daily puzzle, the site has a Previous Challenges archive with dated puzzles for every day from January 1, 2026 up to the present, all listed by month on a single page. A Statistics page tracks your play history once you complete your first puzzle (before that it simply says "No puzzles played yet!"), and there is an optional Log In. Tips and strategy
- Read all three lines before guessing anything. Later lines sometimes make an earlier blank obvious once you see the full context.
- Pay attention to rhyme and rhythm. Song lyrics are written to scan and rhyme, which narrows down what kind of word can fit a blank.
- Think about the line's meaning as a whole sentence, not just the missing word in isolation.
- If a line feels like a famous, oft-quoted lyric, try the most iconic phrasing first.
- Use the Previous Challenges archive to practice on past puzzles. Every date back to January 1, 2026 is playable.
