Emovi
A daily browser puzzle where a movie title is written out in emojis and you have three guesses to name the film. Made by Teuteuf Games, the studio behind Worldle and Flagle.
Emovi turns one movie into a short string of emojis and asks you to name it. You get three guesses and can use up to two hints if the picture puzzle has you stuck. It is a daily game from Teuteuf Games, the studio behind Worldle and Flagle.
What is Emovi?
The core of Emovi is an emoji rebus. Each day the game shows a single movie encoded as a sequence of emojis, and your job is to read that little picture story and figure out which film it stands for. On its own games hub, Teuteuf sums the format up plainly: guess the movie with emojis, three guesses, two hints. You type in a movie title, and when you run out of guesses or land the answer, the game reveals the film.
What sets Emovi apart from other movie guessing games is the way it hides the film. Games like Framed hand you actual stills from a movie and let the images do the work. Emovi never shows you a frame. Instead it leans entirely on the emoji rebus, which means the puzzle is as much about lateral thinking and wordplay as it is about film knowledge. A row of emojis might spell out a title literally, act out the plot, or pun on the words, and part of the fun is working out which trick the day is using.
Emovi is one of the daily titles on the official teuteuf.fr games hub, alongside Worldle, Flagle, Travle and WhenTaken. A fresh puzzle arrives each day, and it is free to play in the browser with no paywall. One thing worth noting: there is a separate App Store app also called Emovi, made by a different developer, that runs as a points-based trivia quiz with hundreds of stored questions. That is not this game. The Teuteuf web version is the once-a-day emoji puzzle described here.
When you finish, Emovi gives you a short result you can share with friends so you can compare how you did without giving the answer away. Because everyone gets the same movie on the same day, the game works well as a quick daily challenge to pass around.
How to play Emovi
- Open Emovi at emovi.teuteuf.fr in your browser.
- Read the row of emojis shown for today and work out which movie they represent.
- Type your guess for the movie title and submit it.
- If you are unsure, use one of the two available hints to narrow it down.
- Keep guessing, using up to three guesses in total.
- Share your result with friends and come back the next day for a new movie.
Tips and strategy
- Read the emojis as a whole story first before trying to decode them one at a time. The order often matters.
- Watch for wordplay. Emojis may spell the title phonetically or pun on it rather than illustrate the plot.
- Think about genre cues. Emojis for weapons, hearts, space or animals can point you toward a category quickly.
- Save your hints. With only three guesses, spending an early hint on a puzzle you might crack alone wastes a resource.
- Say the emojis out loud. Hearing the sounds can reveal a title that hides in the way the words are pronounced.
- Lean toward mainstream and popular titles, since the puzzles favor movies most players will recognize.
